'I am still motivated by Sachin Tendulkar' - Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid was all praise for his team mate with whom he has 19-Century partnerships(A world record).Dravid said he was still inspired by his team mate and good friend Sachin Tendulkar.RD commented that

He's been phenomenal, has had terrific last 2-3 years and possibly done the best batting of his life.When I came he had already been around for seven years; he was my captain in West Indies (in 1997) and was a source of great motivation. That motivation has not changed,



Rahul Dravid is the highest run-getter against the West Indies with a total of 1408 runs putting behind Sachin and VVS Laxman at an average of about 67.He also hoped that some new talent could be found from this test series as this was a great opportunity for youngsters to prove themselves.He said that

Over the next year or two, young batsmen should be coming through -- like Ganguly, Laxman and I did. Sooner than later, similar young boys would come through and two or three would have similar long careers for the next 15 years. Then the team is going to be in good health,

RD also said he would love to score runs at the Sabina Park in West Indies, Because it is one of his favourite stadiums.We wish him all the best.

Kohli made 199 runs from the five match ODI series against West Indies at an average of about 40.
He also commented that having players like Rahul Dravid,VVS Laxman, Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni will do him a lot of help.He said

It’s a huge thing for these young players to have players like Dravid, Laxman and Dhoni around to learn from. Even I am learning from them as Gary Kirsten told me about the advantages he had while having chats with players like Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman. WI spinner says taking Rahul Dravid's wicket changed his life

Anthony Martin, The leg spinner of West Indies team after his match winning 4/36 bowling performance commented that it was Rahul Dravid's wicket in 2006,Which was the turning point of his career.This was back in  a warm-up match while the India were on the West Indies tour in 2006.He was quoted saying

"There was this practice game against India in 2006. Dravid hit my first ball for a four and was gone off the second, caught in the slips. I remember telling myself: 'Hey, here is this batsman who I watch thrash international bowlers all over the world on television. If I can pick him, I can play international cricket."
