If all goes well you would see The Wall in a new role as the mentor and coach of the Indian U-19 team. CricInfo hints at a possible press conference to officially announce things by The BCCI. Earlier there were many questions raised about Dravid's omission from Indian team's advisory commitee. All questions would be put to an end following this press conference.

Dravid earlier mentored his IPL team Rajasthan Royals, where young players like Rahane and Sanju Samson were mentored by him.

Last week Rahul Dravid was honored with a membership to the elite sports panel of Laureus sports. Dravid happens to the 47th member of the panel and the second from India after Kapil Dev to be a part of the same. The list also includes legendary names like Sir Viv Richards, Franz Beckenbauer, Sir Bobby Charlton, Michael Johnson, Mark Spitz and Sir Ian Botham. It was Steve Waugh who honored Dravid with the membership at the Christ Church Primary School in London. Steve Waugh was quoted saying,
On behalf of all the members of the Laureus World Sports Academy I would like to welcome Rahul. He achieved amazing success in an illustrious career. He was so pugnacious and determined when he was at the crease, he could have been an Aussie,
Dravid responded ,
It is a great privilege to be invited to join the Academy and I look forward to supporting the work of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. I am truly honoured to be recognised alongside some of the greatest sportsmen and women we have ever seen. "Sport has given me so much, and it is wonderful to now have the opportunity to make a difference in other people's lives.

Earlier during the match when Ganguly was batting Steve Waugh had a heated exchange with him. When Australia comes to bat Ganguly returns the favor by getting his wicket. Steve Waugh is caught by Sachin Tendulkar in Ganguly's ball.

Glenn McGrath Six against Daniel Vettori

This is a gem of a video we just found on Youtube. Glenn McGrath sweeps Daniel Vettori for a six, and the whole ground stands to applause. The Australian dressing room is surprised and Gilchrist's reaction says it all.

Birthday Sunil Gavaskar
Sunil Gavaskar
We wish a very happy birthday to the Legend Sunny Gavaskar, who turned 64 today. Gavaskar till date is India's best test opener and has been an inspiration to many young cricketers like Dravid and Tendulkar who idolized him. He was widely known for his ability to perform well against fast bowlers and often he went out to bat without a helmet. His average of 65 against West Indies indicates how well he played fast bowlers of that era. He is the first player in test history to cross 10,000 runs.

We wish him good health and happiness.
