Rahul Dravid with India A Support Staff
So here is confirmation that Rahul Dravid is not present in the 21 shortlisted candidates for Indian Cricket Team's coach.

This is what FirstPost Reports,
Among foreigners, former Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak and Stuart Law have sent in their applications. Other names floating around such as Rahul Dravid, Daniel Vettori and Tom Moody, have not applied.
Seems like RD wants to take slow and maybe the next change he will apply for the post. We see no one better to take the position, but we all know him very well. He will only be taking up the position when he is really ready and make that commitment.

He is currently the Coach of India A and India Under-19 teams.

If all goes well you would see The Wall in a new role as the mentor and coach of the Indian U-19 team. CricInfo hints at a possible press conference to officially announce things by The BCCI. Earlier there were many questions raised about Dravid's omission from Indian team's advisory commitee. All questions would be put to an end following this press conference.

Dravid earlier mentored his IPL team Rajasthan Royals, where young players like Rahane and Sanju Samson were mentored by him.

Dravid happens to the 47th member of the panel and the second from India after Kapil Dev to be a part of the same. The list also includes legendary names like Sir Viv Richards, Franz Beckenbauer, Sir Bobby Charlton, Michael Johnson, Mark Spitz and Sir Ian Botham. It was Steve Waugh who honored Dravid with the membership at the Christ Church Primary School in London. Steve Waugh was quoted saying,
On behalf of all the members of the Laureus World Sports Academy I would like to welcome Rahul. He achieved amazing success in an illustrious career. He was so pugnacious and determined when he was at the crease, he could have been an Aussie,
Dravid responded ,
It is a great privilege to be invited to join the Academy and I look forward to supporting the work of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. I am truly honoured to be recognised alongside some of the greatest sportsmen and women we have ever seen. "Sport has given me so much, and it is wonderful to now have the opportunity to make a difference in other people's lives.

Glenn McGrath Six against Daniel Vettori

This is a gem of a video we just found on Youtube. Glenn McGrath sweeps Daniel Vettori for a six, and the whole ground stands to applause. The Australian dressing room is surprised and Gilchrist's reaction says it all.
